Where did December go? Actually, this year seems have rushed by me, and not for any good reasons, but enough of that.
Thank you all for following my blog. Now it is the time to wish you all a Merry Christmas.
See you all in the New Year.
A Sci-Fi whiz's wargaming blog about cybertanks and mecha, amongst other things.

Here are the photos I've found of the Heavy Gear Hunter.
If anyone has larger pictures, let me know.
Well, where did the summer go?
Doing stuff, or trying to do stuff. Life has been a bit up and down. Been reading a bunch of stuff, and just as soon as I can get my finger out I will post what I've read on my other blog.
Hoping that the injection for my wrist, scheduled for October, means I can get back to model making. It is what it is. Meanwhile, sharing the above picture of a full-size replica ScopeDog next to the its designer Kunio Okawara, who is the man behind the greatest mecha designs in anime.

The X-Wing meme of – Mistakes Were Made – seems almost applicable here, except that this was no unforeseen splurge, but rather a birthday acquisition. The U-wing is a very pretty craft from Rogue One that I think has all the attributes that made the X-wing so iconic.
Ghost of course, is from the cartoon series Rebels, which like The Clone Wars has added more to story than some of the prequel and sequel films in the Star Wars franchise.
Either way, I like the ships and I'm looking forward to playing a game of X-Wing at some point with these two models, and trying out some of the special rules that go with them.
So when I say finished, what I mean is mostly finished, as I'll probably want to do some graffiti and add some clutter, like debris, but mostly finished. I'll keep telling myself that, it's good for the morale of the troops. Ha!
And here's a birds eye view. See what I mean about needing some more clutter?
In 2071, Sergeant Tachikoma leads a Marine combat armor squad. She knows the Corps never promised her a rose garden, only the chance to fight for her country. Now, she faces her greatest challenge, two terrifying alien pillars that trapped her into reliving the same day again. The day she dies. Today, she needs every ounce of courage to save her people from annihilation.
Next I painted the roads with very dilute black, effectively a wash, and then I used a combination of dark earth, chestnut brown, and dark chocolate to paint the ground. Each was again diluted about 50:50 with water, and then I took these pictures before putting the boards away again to dry overnight.
My plan now is to block in the colours for the buildings.
So, with my first post of the year, let me finish by wishing everyone of my readers a prosperous new year.
