Well, where did the summer go?
Doing stuff, or trying to do stuff. Life has been a bit up and down. Been reading a bunch of stuff, and just as soon as I can get my finger out I will post what I've read on my other blog.
Hoping that the injection for my wrist, scheduled for October, means I can get back to model making. It is what it is. Meanwhile, sharing the above picture of a full-size replica ScopeDog next to the its designer Kunio Okawara, who is the man behind the greatest mecha designs in anime.
Trying to stock up for the winter nights, hope the injection works!
ReplyDelete#MeToo to both.
DeleteHope you feel better! The votom looks noticeably smaller than the full size hunter Dream Pod 9 used to bring to Gencon during the 1st/2nd edition RPG days.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right, but I can't find a picture of it. Though I vaguely recall having see one somewhere. I do know that my 1/144th Scopedogs are smaller than Jaeger/Hunter equivalents.
DeleteThere are a couple of low res pics out there both in the original camo and a repaint in black as a Black Talon. I had my own 4x6" picture with a very 90s young me in front of it somewhere but couldn't find it years ago when I looked everywhere for it.
DeleteIf I can't get an Easter Island head into my front yard, I'm gonna try for a Gear!
ReplyDeleteA Gear as a lawn ornament. Sounds cool.
DeleteSteve Jackson Games released plans for the multi-part cardboard Ogre, which at least one person expanded into a Lawn Ogre:
